The New York City MTA Map design aimed to organize and streamline the 2009 edition.
The team simplified the MTA map by laying the subway on a geometric grid system, removing unnecessary information, applying unified typography, and separate express/local train lines. With a cleaner, brighter, simpler system, the map becomes concise and information becomes easier to follow.
